The typical zebrafish is only 6 cm long. Zebrafish contribute to the traditional fish form with their somewhat enlarged bodies, slightly upward-developing mouths, and dorsally compressed heads. Zebrafish have a dentine layer, an enamel coating, and a pulp core in their fifth branchial arch, despite not having teeth in their mouths.
Two pairs of barbels, which are sensory organs located on the skin of zebrafish, are present. The long maxillary barbels on either side of the mouth, which extend from the rostrum to the anterior edge of the orbit, serve as taste buds and can be utilized to find and seek for food. Habitat
