Stone fruit from the rose family, the yellow plum. They typically have yellow skin and/or flesh and are tiny, round or oval in shape. The fruit’s meat is sweet and thick.
Varieties
There are numerous yellow plum types available for gardeners and industrial growers to select from. They are also known by the names Yellow Honey, Golden Large, Yellow Ball, Morning, and Egg Yellow. The Mirabelle is one of the most well-known and contentious types.
Uses
One of the most popular fruits to eat raw and fresh is the yellow plum. Plums can be salted, dried, baked, poached, grilled, turned into jams and jellies, fermented into plum wine, and preserved in these ways.

Cultivation
Early spring is when plum trees bloom, with around half of those blooms finally becoming pollinated and giving rise to fruit. Yellow plum trees want mild weather that isn’t too dry because dry weather prevents them from growing over a certain point. They need sandy soil that drains well and direct sunlight.
