Tibetan Poodle

The lovable Ttoodle or Tibetan Poodle is a hybrid dog breed made by crossing a Tibetan Terrier and a Poodle. They are most frequently bred from standard Poodles, standing 15 to 18 inches tall and weighing 30 to 50 pounds. They have dense, single, curly coats or double, dense coats in a variety of hues, including black, white, blue, apricot, and gray. Because of the breed’s high level of intelligence, Ttoodles make wonderful family pets. This active breed appreciates having room to run and needs a lot of exercise. They can adapt to different situations and are happy in both huge homes and apartments.

Appearance

The medium-sized Ttoodle dog has a balanced head and body. The coat is available in a wide range of hues, from curly to wavy, including white, black, blue, brown, apricot, grey, and brindle. Ttoodles can vary in coat type from single to double. The coat is rather dense in both situations. Instead of being a random mixture of the two, the majority of Ttoodles have coats that resemble one of their parents or the other. The snout is ordinary length, and the ears are long and floppy. The tail is long and straight, and the eyes are expressive and dark.

Exercise

Your Ttoodle is an energetic dog who needs a lot of activity to keep healthy and content. The entire day will be spent chasing after family members, so we advise blocking off at least 40 minutes each day to play with your pet. The ideal games are those that make your dog run since they will assist your dog burn off energy more quickly. If you have enough strength, it will also take pleasure in tug-of-war matches.  

Training

Your Ttoodle has a high level of intelligence and can handle challenging jobs. You may anticipate your Ttoodle to be as intelligent as its poodle parent, which is only slightly less intelligent than the Border Collie. Getting your dog into a pattern will help it stay focused and learn faster. We advise holding brief training sessions at the same time every day. It’s important to be consistent, so try not to skip any days. You should also have patience because learning new tricks can take even the most intelligent dogs several weeks, and failures are a normal part of the training process.

Grooming

The good news is that your Ttoodle is hypoallergenic, so sensitive individuals shouldn’t develop allergies from it. The bad news is that it still sheds quite a bit, so to keep the fur off your furniture and to keep the dog looking its best, you will need to brush it frequently. In the fall and spring when there are more sheds, we advise brushing every three to four days. To assist prevent the onset of dental illness, we also advise manually brushing your dog’s teeth using a pet-safe toothpaste. If you hear your dog’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s time to get them trimmed.
