Thai/Traditional Siamese

ThaiTraditional Siamese

Description

 Size: 6-12lbs

The Thai is a mild variant of the Siamese, often known as Traditional, Applehead, Old-Style, or Classic Siamese. They are regarded as being of the foreign type since they are lean and strong rather than slender like Siamese display cats. Brilliant blue eyes are situated on a rounded head that has wide ears perched high on the head.

Behavior

 Activity Level: High

Social needs: Always need company, don’t like being alone

Thai cats are extremely loyal, committed to people, and nearly too smart for their own good. Thai cats get along well with children and other animals and thrive in households with at least one other cat of a similar activity level.  Thai Siamese will get depressed if left alone for an extended period of time and may act destructively as a result. They are talkative individuals who enjoy having a nice discussion and sharing their thoughts with everyone who would listen.

Origin/History

The breed is believed to have originated in Thailand (previously known as Siam) and subsequently traveled to Europe around 1884. A breeding pair of cats were brought from Bangkok by Edward Blencowe Gould and given to his sister, Lilian. The basic breeding pool for the Siamese in England was progressively created as cat lovers imported more cats from Thailand.

Care as a Pet

Nutrition and Diet

Thai cats require a lot of diet to maintain their high levels of energy and activity. However, since they are advised to be kept as indoor cats, make sure your Thai cat is only receiving the necessary, balanced diet in order to prevent cat obesity.

Every cat is different, and each has specific food preferences, aversions, and requirements. Cats, on the other hand, must consume 41 distinct and particular nutrients from their food because they are carnivores. It is not unexpected that a developing, active kitten needs a different balance of nutrients in her food than a less active senior cat because the quantity of these nutrients will vary depending on age, lifestyle, and general health.

Grooming needs

They have short, naturally silky coats, making grooming simple. requires only a once or twice weekly brushing or combing.
