Senegal parrots can live for up to 50 years in captivity and typically survive for 25 to 30 years in the wild.

Senegal parrots are affectionate and content to spend the entire day perched on a person’s shoulder. Instead of screaming, they prefer whistling and clicking.
Care
A Senegal parrot needs toy companions. Don’t be hesitant to purchase toys that are the size of macaws for Senegals because they love to chew on softwood blocks; they will eat them! They also like rope toys, but watch out for lengthy strands that could entangle a foot or a neck; rope toys need to be routinely trimmed.
