Origin/History:

Russian dairy goats come in two varieties: Russian White Dairy and Russian White. It results from the crossing of native North Russian goats with imported Swiss Saanen goats, which started around 1905. Its descendant, the Gorki, always has horns, whereas the Russian White can have either horns or polls. With only a few thousand remaining in existence, it has become a rare breed.
