A stylish variety of farmed rabbits is the Polish rabbit. Due to the absence of the dwarf gene, this kind of rabbit is not a dwarf breed. Because fanciers, not enthusiasts, breed this particular breed, it was created for exhibition. Since it has attractive looks and gentle, mellow personality that makes it a desirable breed for pets, this kind of rabbit is now primarily found in human homes.

Behavior and Temperament

Polish rabbits and other smaller bunnies are cute, but they are not the right size for young children. You don’t want to unintentionally drop a dwarf rabbit breed, which is why smaller children should not handle them. Even from a little height, dropping this rabbit can break their bones and even be fatal. Therefore, houses with responsible owners, those with older children, elders, and adult first-time pet owners should all consider getting this breed.

The Polish rabbit enjoys being the center of attention and is comfortable being picked up and held as long as you are gentle and trustworthy.

Eat and Drink

Polish rabbits only consume plants because they are herbivores. All plant parts, including roots, bark, seeds, weeds, flowers, and leaves, will be consumed by them. It can consume vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, and commercially prepared rabbit meal or pellets when in captivity.

Make sure to provide them with water regularly.

Housing

Polish Rabbit enclosures need to be made of wire and have a sturdy framework. In order to make cleaning the cage easier, the bottom should be detachable. For your rabbit’s comfort while residing in the enclosure, the floor should contain soft bedding. You can use horse bedding, hay, or wood pellets. Paper towels, newspapers, and brown paper bags should not be used as cage bedding since they can tear easily.

Purchase/Pricing

The Polish rabbit is a reasonably priced breed, costing between $50 and $100 for this generally robust type.
