Phantom Breaded Dragon

Phantom Bearded Dragon

Description:

Scientific name: Pogona vitticeps sp.

Life span: Unknown

Long-standing reptile breeder. 20 years of experience, exceptional health, and genetics. Bearded Dragons, Crested Geckos, and Chahoua Geckos are the main subjects, with a few minor projects sprinkled in. Because of its “beard,” an inflatable neck pouch with spikey scales, bearded dragons are suitably named. They have round bodies, rounded heads, sturdy legs, and muscular tails.

Care As a pet/In captivity:

Enclosure: A minimum 40-gallon “breeder”-style enclosure is required. Better is to have a larger enclosure with more available floor area.

Basking bulb: In order to develop properly, young dragons need a lot of protein. We feed our young and hatchling animals short, regular meals. Babies should ideally be given 8–10 size-appropriate insects per sitting, three to four times per day. Add two or three insects at a time, and after feeding, remove any extras. In an enclosure, loose feeders can make your animal feel stressed. We also provide calcium-dusted mixed spring greens. Your infant might only pick at the greens and not consume much of them. This is both acceptable and typical. Continue to provide it to them; it’s crucial for hydration.

Give your pet a selection of live feeder insects. Great feeders include crickets, super worms, mealworms, black soldier fly larvae, feeder roaches like dubia, etc. Just serve two or three mealworms or super worms at a time while feeding them to prevent regurgitation.
