Normal Leopard Gecko

Normal Leopard-Gecko

Unique Character:

Normal Leopard Geckos, also known as Wild Type Leopard Geckos, are typically dull yellow in appearance with numerous black patches. The tail will have spots of black and white on it. The only morphs accessible before the advent of all the colorful morphs were Normals and High Yellows.

Appearance:

The head of newborns is frequently light brown or beige with tiny patches. Right behind the head, white marks are frequent. As they become older, the head develops larger dots and a yellow or gray color. Especially in infants, the head frequently appears to be blue or another hue above the eyes.

The body frequently has gray and yellow bands and numerous, sizable dots. Normal Leopard Geckos, however, frequently have a base color of yellow with fewer, smaller dots due to selective breeding.

The tail typically has a base color of yellow with perpendicular bands of grey. Similar to the body, the tail is covered with dots all over. Now, the normal leopard gecko has a tail that is often white with grey banding and occasionally orange at the tip.
