Characteristics and Genetics
In the past, mining and agriculture were two common uses for New Forests. Many breeds have contributed to the New Forest pony’s foundation bloodstock, but as of right now, only ponies whose parents are both classified as purebred in the studbook’s approved section are permitted to do so.
