Description

A vibrant species of sea slug called Nembrotha aurea, also called the Golden Nembrotha, is found in the ocean. They are marine gastropod mollusks called dorid nudibranchs. The skin is smooth and has an extended form on Nembrotha aurea.  The body is longitudinally divided by black lines. White serves as the backdrop colour for both the bottom and upper body. Just below the gills, there is an orange stripe between the lines, and there is more orange right in front of the gills. The gills and rhinophores are crimson orange. Blue lines border the lower body. Overall, a very vibrant combination, and a nudibranch that looks extremely attractive.

Geographical Distribution

The type location for this species is Msimbati in Tanzania’s Mtwara Region. From the western Indo-Pacific Ocean, it is well-known.

nembrotha-aurea.

Behavior

They may appear in pairs but are mostly observed solitary. Toxic compounds can be secreted by them, providing defense against predators. They are simple to watch while diving since they move slowly. They appear to notice a diver and swim towards cover, perhaps not like the bright lights being flashed on them.
