Salmon crested cockatoo is another name for the Moluccan cockatoo. This species can be recognised by the bright pink feathers at the base of its crest. It is rarely seen while the feathers are flat, but when the bird is ecstatic, frightened, or angry, the crest will rise and reveal its true beauty. Only the umbrella cockatoo has a fuller crest than this one among the several cockatoo species.
Moluccan cockatoos are primarily white with salmon-colored feathers on their wings and chests, with the exception of the splash of color on their heads. They have a lovely pale yellow to peach color behind their wings. Their feet and beaks are black.
Habitat/Native Region
Moluccan cockatoos are found in the Moluccas and eastern Indonesia. They inhabit lowland forests.

Moluccans would want to spend the entire day clinging to their individual body. They have a tremendous desire for love and attention. They constantly vie for personal attention since they struggle to play alone. Person bird will be satisfied if he can give it his whole attention. They are the perfect bird for someone who stays at home most of the day. They only want to be hugged and cuddled all the time.
The sophisticated birds of the Moluccas enjoy a challenge. They can learn to dance, do tricks, and behave in an entertaining manner when they’re feeling upbeat. Although Moluccans are known for being quiet cuddly, as they age, the males can turn vicious. Cockatoos are not the best pets for families with young children because they have the potential to bite. This bird’s powerful beak is capable of cracking open tough nuts. The Moluccan cockatoo can yell louder and louder than any other bird.
Care
Moluccan cockatoos and their owners develop strong ties. Only get a Moluccan cockatoo if a person knows that they will be spending the most time at home with it. As a result, people might want to consider purchasing two if a person doesn’t spend much time at home. Keep Moluccans in the largest cage a person can afford because they are enormous birds and need a lot of space. Additionally, the cage needs to be sturdy enough to withstand a Moluccan cockatoo destroying it.
