  • Diet

Due to its omnivorous nature, the Golden or Midas Blenny can be fed a range of foods. They can eat everything they want, including freeze-dried worms and algae as well as diced flesh and vitamin-enriched meals. Additionally, they enjoy food, whether it is frozen or living, and they consume quickly. It is advised that they be fed several times during the day as a result.

  • Tank Size

This blenny will benefit from a minimum tank size of 30 gallons or more, as well as lots of rocks for perching. The Midas Blenny occasionally annoys small planktivores and has been known to nip at gobies and firefish.

  • Water Conditions

Their habitat has a constant pH of 8.1-8.4 and a hardness range of 8-12 dH, with temperatures between 73 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit (23-28 degrees Celsius).

  • Midas Tank decoration

A Midas blenny’s favourite pastime is searching for their next meal by examining rock formations. You are already aware of their disinterest in swimming. You should focus your décor efforts on creating the best climbing structures. The ideal material for caves, ledges, and fissures is live rock. Additionally, it will serve as a useful “reservoir” of food for your blennies.

  • Tank Companions

Angelfish, Anthias, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Cardinalfish, Clownfish, Damselfish and Filefish.
