Lavender

Lavender

Appearance:

The base color of the lavender leopard gecko is lavender or purple, with black spots or stripes added. A mainly yellow body will have big patches or stripes of this lavender color. Though some geckos lose their lavender color as they age, so don’t become too attached to it.

Genetic cross:

The albino strains, particularly the Bell Albino strain, have also been used to produce lavender. In order to get the color lavender, Bold Stripes and the Bell Albino strain have been crossed.

Distinguished by:

Due to their unique color, lavender leopard geckos are more expensive than ordinary geckos.

The Lavender morph, as its name suggests, refers to any leopard gecko that has a light violet or lavender tint on it. Growing older causes many geckos to lose their lavender coloring, which can make breeding for this morph very challenging.
