Characteristics and Genetic
It is a domestic pig of Korean breed. Its name comes from and is derived from the sizable island of Jeju-do, which is located in the Korea Strait to the south of the nation.
About 2,000–3,000 years ago, in Manchuria, this type of pig first appeared. Since the 1400s, Korea has meticulously recorded and produced the Jeju black pig, which is considered to have a distinct flavor from other pig breeds and serves as the main ingredient in several well-known regional recipes.
