Characteristics and genetics
This breed can produce extremely beneficial hybrids and has a highly marbled carcass. Additionally, the birth is made simpler by the calf’s small weight of 60 to 65 lbs. Cows have a high reproductive rate genetically, and females can give birth to calves for up to 18 years. The males are also able to service 50 cows while providing breeding services.
