Dogs of the Hanover Hound breed are sometimes known as Hanoverian Hounds. It is a hunting and tracking dog that originated as medieval bloodhounds. It is still a fairly rare breed and was first brought to France in the 1980s.
Appearance
These short-haired dogs have a reddish fawn color that ranges from light to dark and have a brindled appearance. They might even wear a mask. The Hanoverian Hound has a sturdy build overall with a big head, powerful jaws, and a deep chest. They weigh between 36 and 45 kg. Males are between 50 and 55 cm in length, while females are between 48 and 53 cm.
