Description
Also known as paprika and green bell pepper. The young fruit of the bell pepper plant is the green pepper. They have a blocky shape, three or four lobes, thick, firm walls that are filled with tiny seeds, and a hollow interior. They taste slightly bitter and grassy.
Uses
The unripe variety of the fruit is known as a green pepper or green paprika, and although though they may taste more bitter, they are still edible.

Cultivation
They do well in raised beds, containers, and in-ground gardening. Place them 18 to 24 inches apart in a sunny, well-drained spot. Pepper plants need 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day at the very least. Add compost or other organic elements to the soil before planting.
