Characteristics and Genetics
A type of little pig is the Gottingen minipig. The tiniest breed of farm pigs in existence is called a Göttingen minipig. The Göttingen minipigs are renowned for their very small size, placid demeanour, and exceptionally clean and well-recognized health status. The Minnesota mini-pig, the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, and the German Landrace pig were crossed at the Institute for Animal Breeding and Genetics (Institut für Tierzucht und Haustiergenetik) at the University of Göttingen, Germany, to create this breed.
