Description
A species of vibrant sea slug belonging to the Chromodorididae family of marine gastropod mollusks is called Goniobranchus leopardus. The body is lengthy and has a foot that is concealed by a thick mantle that separates it from the upper body. The mantle’s top is brownish with dark markings that are white-circled. The mantle’s outside border is a delicate, electric blue to purple line that is white in colour. The base of the rhinophores is white with a blue to purple tip, while they can also be white with a longitudinal blue to purple line. The rhinophores are lamellate and contractile. The internal surface of the branched gill is golden, and the external side is white.
Geographical Distribution
This species has been found in the Solomon Islands, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and NW Australia.
