Habitat

It may be found growing in the southern United States, Central America, Mexico,  and South America. They also grow in India, Southeast Asia, Cuba, and Australia.  They are often found on well-manured soil in the summer,   spring,  and fall and prefer to survive on dung in the wild.

Uses/Importance

P. cubensis is arguably the most widely recognized of the psilocybin mushrooms used to induce psychedelic experiences following consumption. Its main psychoactive constituents include Psilocybin, Psilocin, baeocystin  Norbaeocystin, and Aeruginascin. The cubensis contain.63% psilocybin, which is about average for mushrooms. After about an hour, based on the mode of administration, visual distortions such as the motion of forms and the movement of biological things begin to occur. Intense periods of spiritual investigation and self-discovery are normal for many people.

Even at extremely low doses, this drug can cause hallucinations and visual abnormalities. Even with their eyes closed, a person might have hallucinations in which they perceive vivid inventive sequences as well as multicolored geometric shapes. These hallucinations might happen for a number of causes. When administered in greater dosages, psilocybin cubensis has the possibility of causing heightened introspection and the recall of long-forgotten memories. Hallucinations and flashbacks with open eyes are quite common and can be quite detailed. Naturally, it has the capacity to overwhelm the consumer and send them on a “bad trip.”
