Emerine Leopard Gecko

Emerine-Leopard Gecko

How do emerine leopard geckos originate?

Ron Tremper discovered the green color mutation known as the Emeralds, commonly referred to as Emerines. Despite not being entirely green like the orange in Tangerines or the white in Blizzards, the Emerald gecko nevertheless exhibits a variety of shades of green. They typically have a variety of patterns, including Banded, Jungle, Striped, or Reverse Stripe. Breeding Emerald to Emerald will result in 100% Emeralds as of right now, though the genetics are still being studied.

Appearance

The head of an Emerine Leopard Gecko can vary. The body of the Emerine Leopard Gecko is usually a slight greenish yellow or orange and has a bluish bruising undertone to the coloration. This can be visible up along the neck, base of the tail and more commonly along the sides of the animal. The tail of the Emerine Leopard Gecko can express the blue/green tone along the tail, though this is less common.
