Description

The uncommon and exquisite coat colour of Chocolate Frenchies is similar to a cocoa shade of brown. While some have a dark chocolate coating, others have a milk chocolate-like appearance. These dogs have bright eyes as well, and you can find them with eyes that are green, brown, golden, or even yellow! In every other way, they are typical Frenchies.

Origin

One of the most well-known dog breeds in the world is the French Bulldog. This lovely and beloved dog’s origins may be traced back to the 1800s, when they were initially brought from England to France. The dogs were loaded onto ships and transported back to England because they were determined to be unfit for the French environment.

The dogs’ owners, British nobility, weren’t quite done with them though. They made the decision to use cargo ships to transport the bulldogs back to France.

Gene for Coat Color

Cocoa black is the most common chocolate-colored coat color in dogs due Cocoa gene.

Temperament

The Chocolate French Bulldog is much like any other French Bulldog, despite its unusual name. They are enthusiastic, inquisitive, and incredibly loving. If you own a Chocolate Frenchie, be prepared to spoil them with lots of love and encouragement.

This breed’s inability to shed throughout any certain time of the year is another unique characteristic. However, because to the high temperatures, they will do so more in the summer.

Exercise requirement

An hour of exercise every day is required for chocolate French bulldogs. These dogs do have respiratory problems, so you should stay away from anything that makes them breathe rapidly.

Avoid jogging, running, playing fetch, and other vigorous exercises and stick to taking leisurely strolls instead. Additionally, it is preferable to divide their daily activities into two to allow for relaxation periods.

Training

You may easily train your Chocolate Frenchie with some encouragement, positive reinforcement, and the odd reward. Because of their innate sociality, these dogs won’t require extensive socialization training.

Diet

Choco Frenchies require a maximum of 980 calories. However, the precise calorie requirement depends on the age, health, and weight of your Chocolate Frenchie. We advise giving your chocolate French bulldog 25 to 35 calories daily per pound of body weight.
