Description
The cherimoya fruit, which is edible, is a sizable, green, conical or heart-shaped complex fruit with diameters of 5 to 10 cm and skin that resembles overlapping scales or knobby warts.
Uses
The fruit is typically eaten raw or juiced. The fruit’s skin and seeds contain the neurotoxic annonacin, which should not be consumed.

Cultivation
They favor a lot of sun and a soil that drains really well. Although there is evidence that the Cherimoya is particularly adaptable to growing well in very hot and dry interior valleys, they are not at their best when they encounter excessive dry, inland heat and are unsuitable for the desert.
