Buelingo

Size

1.2 m

Color

Red or Black with white band

Physical appearance

The Buelingo cow is a superbly healthy animal that is easy to handle due to its placid demeanor. Due to their medium size, they are controllable and ideal for agricultural tasks, 4H projects, and single-family meat production. The Buelingo is a cute breed that comes in black, cherry red, or polled or horned varieties with a white belt. They are between 5 and 6 inches tall, mature bulls weigh between 1400 and 1800 pounds, and heifers weigh between 1000 and 1200 pounds.

Characteristics and Genetics

North Dakota was the birthplace of the modern American composite belted beef cow breed known as the Buelingo. Russ Bueling was in charge of the founding stock at the start of the 1970s, which is why it carries his name.

Uses

The Buelingo is a fantastic fit for the small-scale farm. It is very adaptable because it was designed to resist temperatures in the west, east, and south. These cows have the potential to be farm helpers, table cattle, show cattle, and fantastic breeders. Females are extremely fertile and frequently give birth to healthy babies without much help. They have outstanding parenting skills and a strong maternal instinct. These cows are even more desirable because they are often placid and manageable.

If necessary, you can quickly increase your herd size. Therefore, if you choose to breed a bull and a cow, your pairing will probably be successful, and giving birth will usually go smoothly, which is ideal if you desire simple reproduction as a benefit. Additionally, these cows give milk of a rich enough quality to support an entire family (should you choose to use them for milk supply, too.)

Distribution

It has increased in popularity in the US and Canada since its historical inception. The range, however, occasionally extends beyond these limits.
