Black and White English Bulldog (AGOUTI or A Locus)

black-and-white-english-bulldog.

Description

The English Bulldog Black And White coat has a short neck, large shoulders, and a wide, spherical head. They have small muzzles, flattened faces, and longer lower jaws than upper jaws, which causes an underbite and exposes the lower incisors.

They have a black snout, black paw pads, and black eye rims, and their black and white coat is sleek, short, and finely textured. They have short, thick tails that can be straight or twisted. The elbow joints on the short, stocky legs are slightly bent.

The Black and White English Bulldog’s coat can be piebald, brindled, or ticking, among other markings. Some of them would have a black snout, sometimes known as a “black mask.” Uneven Black and White body markings are indicative of the piebald marking.

Gene for Coat Color

AGOUTI (A) locus is responsible for this color. Some mutation in this gene cause the solid black color change into black and white color.

Temperament

Despite their unfavourable reputation, English Bulldogs with a Black and White coat lack any aggressive bones.

Despite having a reputation for being stubborn, Black and White English Bulldogs are calm, kind, and people-focused.

Training

The White and Black English Bulldog is not the smartest dog breed; in fact, it is ranked 136th in the category of the smartest dog breeds and second in the category of the most stubborn dogs. Training can therefore be quite difficult.

But this is not imply that they are stupid; rather, it only means that White and Black English Bulldogs have independent thoughts. Only if they want to will they respond to training; otherwise, they will ignore their owners.

Exercise requirement

The Black and White English Bulldog, a brachycephalic dog breed, doesn’t require a lot of exercise. They don’t need to walk for more than 20 to 40 minutes to avoid becoming overweight.

Diet and food

Whether the food is produced at home or by a restaurant, it should have a balance of proteins, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins. Do not purchase dog food that contains a lot of fillers. Older dogs should only be fed twice daily, but puppies can be fed three times daily.
