The males are darker than the females and have a lot of black patterns on their faces and upper bodies. Keeping as Pet

  • Ideal Aquarium Tank Sizes

Since the Corydoras is a schooling fish, your aquarium tank must include at least 5 of them. These tiny fish fit well in a 20-gallon tank. But I advise obtaining a bigger tank if you want to keep more than 5 of them. Bigger is better, obviously.

  • Diet

Corydoras are omnivores, meaning they will consume both meat and plants when fed. They can be fed earthworms, brine shrimp, or freeze-dried bloodworms. Additionally, you might serve them vegetables like zucchini or spinach.would advise feeding them two or three times daily. And that’s basically it! You may easily take care of your Banded Corydoras according to some basic rules. Enjoy the fish you got!

  • Tank Mates

A calm aquarium is an excellent place for Corydoras Catfish because of their modest size and calm temperament. By searching through the substrate for food, they will also aid in cleaning it.

Other excellent options for tank companions include: Guppies, Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, Danios, Tetras and Barbs.

  • Water Conditions

The banded corydoras needs water that is between 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) to 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 degrees Celsius) in temperature, with a pH of 6.0 to 8.0.
