Despite the fact that a white coat isn't a colour, it is nonetheless regarded as a more unusual colour pattern. White dogs get this coat due to interactions with the genes that determine coat colour. White pitbulls' eyes can be any color; however, they frequently have blue eyes.
There are two primary types of white coats:
A white coat with colored spots on the ears, face, and legs characterizes the canine carrying the tan point gene. The other is only white coat.
Genes
Dogs frequently have white coats, which can be attributed to at least two separate genetic mechanisms: either a lack of melanocytes in the skin or hair, or a lack of pigment in the melanocytes or hairs. True albinism in dogs is uncommon and is caused by SLC45A2 or OCA2 mutations.
