Characteristics and Genetics
Feral wild cattle called Aleutian wild cattle can be found on the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. These cattle have been rounded up for ranching on numerous occasions. Cattle were removed from the Shumagin Islands by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1985–1986; however, they were still present on Umnak Island and Chirikof Island.
