The sole duck in the genus Amazonetta is the Brazilian duck (Amazonetta brasiliensis).

Description
The ducks are colored a pale brown. Drakes can be distinguished from females by their red beaks, legs, and recognizable pale gray patch on the side of their head and neck. In females, the color of these limbs is notably duller.
Diet
While ducklings exclusively consume insects, they devour seeds, fruits, roots, and insects.
Habitat
Their ideal habitat is a freshwater body of water that is far from the coast and has a lot of vegetation close by.
