Physical characteristics and behavior
The color of the Green Chromis is described as a very delicate, shimmering, bluish-green with an iridescent shine. The male Blue Green Chromis will occasionally undergo a color change during the spawning process, shifting from blue to light yellow, indicating that he is ready to start building a nest. It is possible for certain individuals to have fins with darker markings.
Habitat
The water must have a pH between 8.1 and 8.3 and a hardness between 8 and 12 dGH, and it must be between 77 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit (25 to 26 oC).

Although Green Chromis aren’t particularly large, you still need a hefty tank. Because this species likes to live in groups, you must be ready to house several fish. Additionally, they require a lot of room to swim and explore their surroundings.
For this species to remain healthy, the tank must be at least 30 gallons in capacity. That much room would accommodate a few fish. It is always preferable to make multi-species tanks larger.

Green Chromis are naturally omnivorous. They will often eat a variety of different foods in the wild. They are constantly foraging. The menu includes items like larvae, small shrimp, and algae.

When it comes to water conditions, this species adapts to life in captivity effectively. They originate from a variety of habitats in the wild. They typically stay in shallower waters. But they can also be discovered at depths of 12 meters! It’s best to mimic the circumstances of their native environment as nearly as possible when living in coral-filled lagoons.
